One of the things that you cannot "feel" online is the superb comfort of our furniture. Zola uses 100% Natural Latex in all of their seat cushions. This provides a level of comfort that is unsurpassed by any man-made materials. From the moment you pick up one of the cushions, the "heft" of latex alone gives you an idea of the quality of the material. Zola's latex seat cushions, which are first wrapped in a delightful layer of organic wool before being encapsulated in a cotton/hemp barrier cloth, weigh in at an average of 10-15 lbs. A standard polyurethane seat cushion weighs in at an average of 4-7 lbs. This difference in quality, density, and resiliency, ensure that your seating comfort will remain consistent for many years to come. If you have ever had a set of polyurethane foam seat cushions lose their comfort in a few short years, you will understand the benefits of latex. Zola's back cushions are available in either a plush 100% Natural Kapok, or their Recycled Polyfill made from the post manufacturing waste of plastic bottles. The Kapok filling has a feel that is very similar to Down, without the toxic chemicals that are often used to treat bird feathers. Like Down, Kapok will require occasional "fluffing" to keep it's loft. The Recycled Polyfill, while not quite as plush as the Kapok, is very resilient and requires little maintenance to keep it's loft. Isabella is beautifully curvaceous. The sofa measures overall W-86" D-38" H-35"; seating W-68" D-22 H-19"; Arm H-30". Shown above in "Rocco/Cerise" upholstery, it is available in many other colors and qualities of fabric, as pictured below. These hemp & hemp blend fabrics are extremely durable, naturally stain resistant, sustainably grown and low-impact dyed. They are particularly well-suited for high traffic use such as homes with children or pets, home-entertainment or family rooms, and commercial applications. Our "B" fabric collection, focuses on what the fabric industry calls the "hand" or feel of the fabric. With a variety of colors and textures woven into the fabrics, this collection is for those who are looking for fabrics that will emphasize these features in a room while providing superior feel and comfort to the fabric. Our "C" collection consists of the highest quality eco-friendly and sustainably produced fabrics available. These custom woven chenilles are not only luxurious to the feel, but the colors and textures are a treat to the eye as well. All of Zola's frames are individually hand-crafted from kiln-dried hardwood, harvested from sustainably managed forests. Each frame is carefully assembled using hand-drilled pocket screws, metal fasteners and non-toxic, low VOC, water-based glue. As part of their commitment to a sustainable future, each Zola frame is built to last a lifetime and will outlast the original fabric many times over. As re-upholstery is a form of recycling, this ensures that your Zola furniture will not end up in a land-fill with it's plywood cousin. SafeCoat DuroStain, made with special earth-based pigments, is used for all exposed wood finishes. This is protected with several layers of SafeCoat Acrylacq Stain Finish Lacquer, a clear, water-based replacement for high-solvent content lacquers. Zola's frames and finishes are non-toxic, low-VOC, low odor, non-flammable, do not contain formaldehydes, and meet green building LEED requirements.
